Earlier this year American General rebranded their
various subsidiaries under one carrier name "American General Life Insurance Company".
Although each subsidiary is now listed under the same carrier name, many still work from different processing centers.
The carriers affected are:
- American General Life Companies (Electronically submitted carrier)
- Inheritance Life
- United States Life Ins Co In The
City Of New York
- American General Assur Co
- AGLA
- SunAmerica Annuity And Life Assurance Company
- Western National Life Ins Co
- American General-EBS Group
We've adjusted the carrier names in SureLC to accommodate changes per the carrier's direction. Many of the subsidiary companies are referred as "American General Legacy", but will still include the old name to eliminate some confusion.
The
names have been changed as follows:
- American General Life Ins Co (Electronically submitted carrier)
- Inheritance Life (No Changes)
- United States Life Ins Co In The City Of New York (No Changes)
- American General Assur Co (This carrier was REMOVED)
- American
General Legacy - AGLA
- American General Legacy - SunAmerica
- American General Legacy - Western National
- American General Legacy - EBS Group
What does this mean for my Agency?
There's nothing your agency needs to do to prepare for the changes. The company names have simply transitioned to the NEW name allocated above.
Your comp/hierarchy
schedules are still intact and all forms needed are still allocated as requested.
You may want to let your internal teams know the names have changed....that's it! Everything else will flow as normal.
